Got my Practise Head!!

I finally got my practise head but I am a little disappointed. The idea is cool, however it doesnt clean up as it sais it would. I did everything I am supposed to do and more and I still have stains in it, starting after the first face and just getting worse with each additional face I painted. I am going to email the company about it.

Here a few faces that I did that are easy and I know I can do quickly. What do you think?

Still practising

Soooo... my thinking behind this "let me torture my son some more" session was to try some quick designs but also paint them quick.. trying to go the way I would when I had a long line waiting.
Ones I got started I slowed down after all, thinking how this or that could look better but I have a couple of things now that can be painted quickly, I just need to work on improving them.

Also, I have come to the realization that the stamps are only good for tattoes, not for faces. It was so much easier to fill it in on his arm (and my leg, where I tried it first) than on his face.

Oh, on a funny sidenote... every single time I practise facepainting on my son he has the uncontrollable urge to yawn. Not ones but every 10 seconds... LITERALLY!

Trying some quick stuff

I do like the spiderman, its very quick and I think looks cute.

The other one was one of the stamps I bought from snazeroo but I dont think I like it. In order to just fill in the lines you have to wait and let the stamp dry and even them its hard to fill it in because its such a small area.. doesnt make it quick at all. So I tried to make a larger background and stamp on top and then just add some markings to the cat but I dont like it.

Quick Designs ...

I know I have to work on some Quick designs/cheek art because I will probably usually not have the time to do full faces if I am offered a job. So I practised that today. The designs I think arent bad (thank You, Google Images!) but on that "Quick" part of quick design I still have to work. I think ones I know the designs and dont have to look at my paper anymore it will be a lot easier.
Anyway, what do you think?

First Event ... so much fun

So, my friend Joe asked me recently if I would be interested in doing Facepainting. Well... two weeks and about 250 dollars in supplies later I just painted at my first event and had a blast! It was an event for me to practise and get an idea for what I would be doing and I am so glad I did it.
There are plenty of things I need to work on.. and oh boy, one of them is how to sit right.. I am SO SORE today!!

Here are a few pictures of my faces from yesterday... the butterfly sure was popular.

I am started now, cant wait to keep going!
